Description
Finished in Rosso Cina with Nero leather, top role, seatbelts and carpets all trimmed to match the main hide. Carpets are hand stitched with leather binding around the edge. The steering wheel is the original three spoke with wooden outer rim. Campagnola Millerighe alloy wheels with Vredestein tyres fitted.
This example AR1428577 is one of the few cars built at the very height of the fuel crisis which ripples changed the automotive order. Delivered new to Alfa Romeo Frankfurt on the 11th November 1975 according to the official records and the car being registered the 22nd January 1976.
Fast forward 2013 the car was brought by a keen enthusiast in Denmark who undertook a four year restoration of the car from 2014 - 2018. The restoration works included the following:
The Car was completely dismantled
All parts cleaned, repaired, painted / polished / chromed
Extensive purchase of new parts by marqua specialist Alfa holics UK, Bertesibeck Germany, AMS Germany and OKP Germany.
Entire suspension rebuilt by new parts ball joints, trailing arms, springs, shock absorber etc
Chassis sandblasted and cleaned to bare metal
New body panels and hand built panels installed extensively corresponding to a panel replacement
Comprehensive paint works with 7 layers of primer/paints
Entire body underwent corrosion protection coatings
Gearbox, differential and other transmission rebuilt
Engine underwent a comprehensive rebuild with the following new parts: pistons, bearings, cylinder parts, timing chain and guides, water pump etc. These works where carried out by specialist workshop Iversens Cylinder service Denmark.
Completely rebuild / service SPICA injection system, ignition system, intake manifold by specialist Montreal workshop Burgi Automobile GmbH, Switzerland.
Electrical wiring removed service, repaired, replaced and tested prior reinstallation.
Fully retrimmed, seat trimmed in leather, top and lower dashboard, door cards, headlining and carpets etc. Carried out by Midtjyllands Autosadelmager: All items fully documented on file with restoration pictures and invoices on file.
The current custodian spent a considerable amount of time seeking this ‘correct’ car. After identifying this example, an inspection was carried out and the purchase proceeded. Before delivery, the car passed through our workshop, MOT and registered in the UK.
Today this example presents superbly and is available to view by appointment.
